Linkroad / Consultia IT attended the first International Meeting on Digital Rights, held in Barcelona, where experts and institutions came together to discuss some of today’s key digital challenges: privacy, cybersecurity, the protection of minors, technological sovereignty and the impact of AI.

One idea stood out in particular:

In the age of AI, the challenge is no longer only misinformation. It is trust.

During the event, the concept of “The Liar’s Dividend” highlighted a growing risk: as deepfakes and generative AI become more sophisticated, even real images, videos or audio can be dismissed simply by claiming they were artificially generated.

This changes the conversation.

The challenge is not only to identify false content, but also to protect the authenticity and credibility of what is real.

For organisations, institutions and technology providers, this means that traceability, governance and digital trust will become increasingly important as AI continues to evolve.

For us, the takeaway is clear:

The future of AI will not only depend on what technology can generate, but also on our ability to trust what we see, hear and share.
